Pretty sure they are in it for the long haul, they seem made for each other. Going out of your way to engage with new people can work in any setting. Everything is so far away that it is totally normal to spend a couple hours in the car on your way to some form of entertainment. My kids are not allowed to date until college. People should not feel pressured into a date and should be able to decline without feeling uncomfortable. I have a friend who was home schooled all his life. Keep busy.
