La presente cartilla es la segunda edición de “Los Amigos del Bosque”, la cual en su primera versión fue entregada en la Comunidad de Camarón. Su contenido es el resultado de dos procesos investigativos: uno se enmarca dentro de la Caracterización de la fauna de los Montes de María, y es llevado a cabo por Biólogos y Estudiantes de biología de la Universidad de Cartagena, a fin de explorar, conocer y documentar la biodiversidad de Los Montes de María. El otro, se realiza en el marco de la escuela de Agroecología de niños y niñas que adelanta la Corporación Desarrollo Soli &#; dario en siete comunidades del municipio de Marialabaja, en Montes de María.

En este sentido, se muestran dibujos de la fauna presente en los Montes de María y también los dibujos realizados por los niños y niñas de la Escuela de Agroecología, en los que evidencian problemáticas en sus comunidades y las alternativas de solución que proponen. Creemos en esta cartilla como un medio didáctico que puede contribuir en la labor educativa sobre biodiversidad y agro
ecología.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) voted in August to adopt amendments designed to simplify and update disclosure requirements. These amendments were aimed to get rid of disclosure requirements that appeared to be duplicative, overlapping, or outdated. These amendments are designed to ease regulatory burdens on issuers, while facilitating disclosure to investors. The amendments became effective on November 5 

These amendments are part of a broader initiative from the Division of Corporation Finance, a branch of the SEC, to review and update disclosure requirements in an attempt to improve them to benefit both investors and issuers. The amendments also align with the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act (FAST), which require the SEC eliminate duplicative, outdated, or otherwise unnecessary provisions.

Some highlights from the amendments are:

Duplicative or Overlapping Requirements:

Several portions of Regulation S-X, S-K, and Form F will be eliminated, in order to eliminate redundancies resulting from similar US GAAP, IFRS, and other SEC disclosure requirements. None of the underlying disclosure obligations will be changed as a result of these eliminations.

• Items (c)(1)(xi) and (h)(4)(x) of Regulation S-K were deleted. These areas related to disclosure for the amounts that were spent on research and development, which are similar to the disclosure requirements required by US GAAP.
• Items (d) and (b)(12) of Regulation S-K and Instruction 7 to Form F were deleted. These requirements and instructions were similar to those required by both the US GAAP And IFRS.

Outdated Requirements:

Due to improvements in technical and information environments, the SEC has deemed several disclosure requirements unnecessary.

• Foreign Currency Exchange Rate: Previously, the SEC required that foreign issuers provide information about the currency exchange rate. Due to how readily this information is now available, they have deemed this requirement unnecessary.
• SEC Website Data: Issuers were previously required to disclose the SEC’s web address with a statement that electronic SEC filings are available, in addition to their own website address if one existed. Due to technological advancements, this requirement has been deemed outdated.

With allergy, your normal thermostat is “off.” Instead of warming up from cold in the regular manner, you sneeze, cough, and hack: this does warm you up, but it starts a cascade that can last all day. When you awake from sleep, your body temperature is low or cool. If you drink hot tea, chicken soup, and some warm cereal, this warms up you body temperature and you avoid that bad morning cascade. Opening the curtains and exposing yourself to sunshine also wakes up your body’s thermostat.

With allergy, you should carry a jacket or windbreaker for going in and out of air conditioning. This can reduce symptoms. Avoid drinking iced drinks. Odors – perfume, lotions, and lipsticks – add to the allergy arithmetic. Without the lipstick your symptoms might be much less.

When you drive during allergy season,  the faster you drive, the more pollen you are exposed to.  Therefore, drive with your windows closed and air conditioning on.

Allergy plants pollinate at night. Therefore, close bedroom windows at night; running a filter in the closed bedroom in the daytime filters out dust and pollen. Change outside clothing in order to avoid bringing pollen into the house.

You can easily diagnose what you are allergic to. Use the various web sites – Weather Channel, eunic-brussels.eu, to see which weed is blooming when your symptoms are worse. Then you have a diagnosis. Sometimes it is sage growing only in your own back yard! Knowing when the pollen that you are allergic to is at its worse, you can go to the beach or to a higher mountain to avoid the pollen. You can also use that information to plan your vacation to make sure you are going where there is no pollen that you are allergic to.

Pollen allergy is like  arithmetic: If there is a minim of pollen and no dust or odors, you may not have symptoms. But if there is lots of dust in your bedroom plus a small amount of pollen, you may have symptoms. Factors that add to this arithmetic include:

• Poor Sleep
• Getting Chilled
• Scented lipstick and perfume
• Hot spicy foods
• Iced foods

Certain foods my also add to this arithmetic. You may be able to eat, for example, fresh strawberries anytime, except during pollen season. The reason is that fresh produce is chemically more complex, and may produce a certain amount of histamine. This can add to the big load of histamine produced by the pollen. To be on the safe side, stick to cooked or canned products.

Although some 20 million persons are allergic to pollen, there are only a certain percentage that don’t get relief with simple medication. The big secret is that your Tower ENT doctors have all kinds of samples and discount coupons for products that relieve allergy symptoms.

A common problem with seasonal allergy is that, if untreated, it can develop into a sinus infection. If your symptoms continue past the pollen season with yellow/green discharge, time to see the doctor.

At the end of , Advancery managed the migration to Microsoft Office across the company, minimising any impact on day-to-day business and a new email system was soon up and running.

Then, early in , the next stage involved moving to a more flexible and cost-effective VoIP telephone system. Each office retained a unique phone number with a series of extensions across the entire network, enabling calls to be transferred between offices easily and cost-effectively. For individual users, it meant calls to their extension number could be taken either in the office or on their smartphone; a feature that would prove even more valuable to the business than they originally anticipated!
